Southrop, England

July 1, 2011

Kate Moss and Jamie Hince were married at St. Peter’s Parish Church in Southrop, England on July 1, 2011.
Guests at the “Great Gatsby” style wedding included Paul McCartneyNaomi CampbellJude Law and Marc Jacobs.
The bride arrived at the church with her father and daughter in a silver vintage Rolls Royce. She wore a 30′s-inspired John Galliano wedding dress with sheer panels and beading along with a Juliet cap-style veil made of woven lace and sequins. Her wedding shoes were blue soled Manolo Blahniks.
The groom wore a blue suit by Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent.
Bridesmaids, including Moss’ daughter, Lila, wore dresses by Bonpoint. Paige Boys wore Bill Bull.
The pathway to the church door was lined with delphiniums, daisies, scabious, and sweet-scented stock.
The ceremony, officiated by Reverend Harry MacInnes, included the reading of a love letter by Jake Chapman and the Gloucester Cathedral choir singing “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
A reception followed at Moss’ country home where Edwardian marquees were erected in the field along with a circus tent and teepees for children to sleep in.
The draped dining pavilion had Victorian chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and Chesterfield sofas flanking the dance floor.
Guests were seated at long tables with bentwood chairs for the meal catered by London’s Dorchester Hotel and the Ritz Carlton Paris.
The flowers, by Scarlet & Violet, included simple arrangements of English garden roses in different types of vases and lavender and cream colored roses mixed with wildflowers.
For their first dance to Bryan Ferry’s “If There is Something,” the bride changed into a Stella McCartney smoky-gray georgette evening gown spangled with steel beads. Later in the evening, she wore a third dress, a backless golden-spangled minidress by Stella McCartney, with Louboutin glitter heels.
The six-tiered traditional white wedding cake, by London baker Peggy Porschen, was surrounded by yellow roses at the base. Each tier was made of a different flavor and crusted with droplets of icing-sugar lily-of-the-valley blossoms.
DJs including Annie Nightingale, Nick Grimshaw, and Queens of Noise spun tunes and live performances were given by Snoop Dogg, Iggy Pop, Bryan Ferry and Beth Ditto.
Following the vows, the couple jetted to Monaco for their honeymoon and sailed off on a yacht owned by Top Shop CEO Philip Green.
