Trend Spotting: The Drop Veil

Mantillas and drop veils are showing up more and more in the weddings submitted to Bride Chic. I wanted to share this tidbit with you simply because this tells me something about brides and what's going on with their heads: Some of you still love topping it all off with a long and flowing veil.
Defined, a drop veil or mantilla style is circular, has no poufs or gathers at the crown and can literally be dropped onto the head in a single layer of lace or tulle. They're often bordered in lace or ribbon. Drops are ideal choices if you want to be veiled and your wedding dress has some exquisite back details you want to show off. A tulle veil is transparent enough without being so opaque to fog the details of that gorgeous dress. Above and below are a few of my fave pics from recent weddings on BC that I just adore...

Above: Notice Kate's veil is a very lightweight organza with no ornamentation to compliment the simplicity of her scrumptious dress by Lithuanian designer, Juozas Statkevicius. The fabric of which this dress is made is just so gorgeous on it's own, it needs no detail...
Above and Below: Candice's gown took my breath away when I first laid eyes on it. When I learned she designed it herself I was doubly stunned! To show off the truly lovely and original embellishments of this creation, she chose a tulle mantilla bordered in Alencon lace. Notice how it can be pulled back post ceremony. Stunning!

Pakistani Bridal jewelry trend has changed. The reason is expensive gold rate. Most of the people can not buy high price of gold. But in wedding ceremonies we have to wear gold jewelry specially for bride.
Without gold jewelry a bride can not be a bride. We have some traditional items of jewelry for instance, Jhoomer, Matha pati , heavy Necklace , gold Bangles and many more. Each and every mother must set aside some gold items for her daughter. In our society , these are some basic responsibility on parents.
To overcome the expenses of jewelry, a new trend is settled. This is Kundan jewelry. These jewelry items look heavy but do not have heavy weights. The important thing about that is these sets are very beautiful designs. Looks some designs here.

Wedding Hairstyle Inspiration from Fashion Week Spring 2012

The New York Fashion Week Spring 2012 shows delivered a handful of wearable hairstyle trends that we think would look just lovely on brides.

The Lela Rose models worked the runway in a look that was classic bridal: rosy cheeks, soft pink lips, and simple, glossy locks. After creating a deep side part, hair was twisted all the way back on the right side and pinned.

If you're wearing a retro-inspired tea-length dress, pair it with a modern, roughed-up beehive like the ones seen at the Diane von Furstenberg runway show.

This sweet side ponytail, seen at Erin Fetherston, would look right at home at a casual, backyard affair.

A high bun makes this model at the Alice + Olivia presentation look modern, polished, and flirty all at the same time—perfect for an urban black tie wedding.

There's no imagination needed to translate the looks from the Imitation of Christ show for brides: model Lydia Hearst got married (for real!) on the runway-turned-aisle while surrounded by "bridesmaids" and "groomsmen" wearing the collection. Lydia's romantic updo was tucked underneath a vintage veil.

The latest Rodarte collection was inspired by Van Gogh, hence the shimmery midnight blue Starry Night eyeshadow. While we can't recommend raccoon eyes for a wedding, we do endorse the hair, which featured soft, brushed-out waves with one side rolled back and held in place with a comb.

The sleek ponytail-fishtail braid hybrids seen on the models at the Marchesa show are perfectly suited for a modern, no-fuss bride.

At Rachel Zoe's presentation, the hair was natural, loose, and slightly messy—paired with a smoky eye and glossy pink lips, the overall effect was sexy but sweet.

At the Jenny Packham show, models sported smooth, shiny blowouts that would make Gwenyth Paltrow jealous. Deep red lips keep the look glamorous, not boring.

Another sultry look from the Rachel Zoe presentation. Achieve the bedhead curls by using at least two different sizes of curling irons.

Another favorite from the Alice + Olivia presentation—a wedding-appropriate fabric flower is tucked into an intricate chignon.
